Spring Musical Auditions - Cinderella!

We are so excited to get started working on our 2026 Spring Musical, Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella! Here is some info to help you prepare.

The Pre-Audition Workshop will take place on Monday, November 24th from 2:30-4:30 pm. At this workshop, all attendees will learn about the expectations for the process as well as tips and tricks to help you feel successful at the auditions. Following the info session, you will be taught the song(s) and dance that you will need to perform for the audition. Dress in comfortable clothes that are easy to move in, and bring a water bottle. If you are interested in auditioning, make sure to RSVP here! Even if you are not available to attend the workshop, still make sure to RSVP - this will add you to our email list so you will receive the rehearsal tracks and practice videos for the dance. We highly suggest you make attendance at the workshop a priority! This gives us the chance to meet you in a low-pressure environment, and gives you the chance to demonstrate your focus and work ethic.

Auditions will take place after school on Wednesday, December 3rd in the Auditorium. The sign up for auditions will be posted following the Audition Workshop. All auditionees will participate in the dance call first, and then will have a short five minute break before vocal auditions. Your dance audition will be in front of the Directors and the other auditionees, and you will perform with a group of ten. Your vocal audition will be in front of the Directors and nine other auditionees, and you will perform alone on stage. We recommend wearing comfortable clothes for the dance audition, and you will have an opportunity to change into professional attire for your vocal audition if you choose to. Present yourself at your best - dressing for success will increase your confidence in the audition. Remember - everyone is nervous, but we are all rooting for you to succeed! Once your group is finished with vocal auditions, you will be free to go. There is no specific end time for auditions, but the earlier you sign up, the earlier you will be dismissed.

The Callback List will be posted by 6pm on Wednesday, December 3rd. Those asked to attend callbacks will need to report to the auditorium after school on Thursday, December 4th. To prepare for callbacks, make sure to review the script and the music, which will be shared with you following the Audition Workshop. Wear clothes that are comfortable for movement, and which help you feel confident and professional. There is no specific end time for callbacks, but we aim to be finished no later than 5:30 pm.

Following Callbacks, the full Company List (cast and crew) will be posted by noon on Saturday, December 6th.

If you are also interested in applying for a position on the crew, the application will be available on www.techyeahapex.com by Monday, December 1st. You may apply for crew and audition for cast - this gives you the greatest chance of being involved! Keep in mind that we will cast the show first, and then assign crew positions, so applying for crew does not affect your chances of being cast. Those who have not participated on the crew in the past year may be invited to an in-person interview with Mr. Bunch on Thursday, December 4th. Keep an eye on your email to see if you need to attend this brief interview session.

If you have any questions about auditions, feel free to email Ms. Levine, Director (llevine@wcpss.net) and if you have any questions about crew interviews/applications, feel free to email Mr. Bunch, Technical Director (bbunch@wcpss.net). Remember - we are rooting for you, and we can't wait to see your wonderful work!
